Lauren Levine

Copywriter. Magazine Writer. Web Writer. Blogger. Social Media Strategist.

My name is Lauren and I’m a copywriter, journalist, podcaster, and blogger who fled the seemingly endless winters of Syracuse, NY for the sunnier (and more humid) pastures of Charlotte, North Carolina. I love helping business owners create web content people actually want to read. We all spend more time than we’d probably like to admit on the Internet. But how do you show someone why your business deserves more attention than all of the other stuff they’re clicking around on daily, Buzzfeed quizzes included? How do you develop trust with someone who knows maybe just thismuch about your brand? By telling them an authentic, relatable story about who you are and what you do.

I’ve worked with a diverse range of passionate and innovative professionals who were ready to use compelling content to make their brand stand out online. I’ve also been fortunate enough to write for publications like The Huffington Post, USA Today, The Charlotte Observer, Thought Catalog, Elite Daily, U.S. News & World Report, and others.

I love a lot of things, including: iced coffee all year, dogs that wear clothes, cooking, blooper reels, quirky office supplies, and reading on rainy days. But mostly I love words. I’m here to find exactly the right words for your company’s website, blog, social media pages, radio commercial, e-mail newsletter, or other piece of content. E-mail me today at lauren@writtenbylauren.com and let’s talk about how we can work together to make your company or publication pop.

My Philosophy

Your brand should have personality to it. No one wants to read content that sounds like it was created by a robot. People don’t want facts and figures and big, boring words that destroy your opponent in Scrabble. They want a real story that has some sizzle to it. They want content that sounds like it was written by a living, breathing human. I take the genuine passion you have for your business and help you put it into words that are perfect for consumption by other real humans.

Why Hire Me?

I pride myself on helping you verbalize what you’ve always known about your business. You know what makes you unique. You know why you love what you do. You focus on continuing to be an expert in your field, and I’ll tell potential customers how and why you’re that expert. Also, I’m a pretty nice, fun person to work with, and I never feel threatened by looming deadlines.

Random Facts

  • I have two middle names.
  • It’s possible that I’m the fastest typer you’ve ever seen.
  • I have a great memory when it comes to fairly unimportant details. Like the date I got my braces on, for example.
